Denvalco produced, supplied and installed Senior Architectural's Hybrid Curtain Walling which is a combination of timber and Aluminium. Denvalco also supplied Sliding Doors for the project.
The overall project comprised of a learning campus, which is the first of its kind in the United Kingdom. It encompassed a 100 place special school, a primary school, a children's centre, a central shared zone, a hall, a gym, a library, a hydrotherapy pool, an amphitheatre, sensory gardens, a wildlife pool, horticultural area, external teaching areas, hard and soft play areas, sane and water play area and multi use games area.
The following Senior Architectural Systems were used on this project:
SCW + Curtain Wall System - This system has all the features of the SCW system but with larger thermal barriers and high performance gaskets that produces high thermal performance. It has a slim 50mm sight line with choice of 3 mullion and 4 transom depths.
SMR900 Curtain Wall - This system is for high rise and high exposure projects with enhanced thermal performance. It utilises a stick, zone drained and pressure equalized system and offers a slim 500, sight line with a standard choice of 6 mullion and 6 transom depths. This allows for a hollow box construction. The mullions are designed to run through for optimum strength and the transoms are easily front loaded on site using a jointing method.
Hybrid Type 2 Windows - Timber aluminium composite system that offers uniform sight lines for fixed and opening elements. The hybrid system joins the long life and low maintenance of aluminium externally with the high insulation of timber internally. The system comes in either open out casement (top or side hung) or thermally broken open out casement (top or side hung)
