In 2012 planning permission was granted for a 7-storey building,with some of the project with 19 new flats.
The Lion Club in Hackney has been training boxers for over 50 years and is supported by over 1000 people including the actor Ray Winstone.
The corner site of the project was fully redeveloped into 19 new flats which were sold off to fund new facilities at the Lion club including a new basement level.
