The development at Mile End Road consists of the design and construction of 600 student rooms together with associated teaching facilities.
Overall, the building has been designed for modern methods of construction, with a significant contribution from off-site manufacture. Sustainability issues are addressed by such elements as green roofs, ground-source heat pumps, and a combined heat and power installation.
This building was used to house the 2012 olympic athletes.
