A £23.5 million investment by Carmarthenshire Council as part of the 21st Century Schools programme has meant that Bouygues Construction have been able to build a new secondary school in Fairfach near Llandeilo.
This new secondary school will accommodate 1200 pupils, a sixth form centre, a specialist ASD unit and additional learning opportunities for the wider community.
The ASD section of the school, built for autistic children, included a design element that allowed for more absorption of sound and direct contact with a landscape area to diffuse stressful situations.
